Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end a new beginning, and under every deep another deep opens.                                                                                                                   ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

  •    Nadia Bakir M.S., LMFT-A

Nadia is the Assistant Director of Counseling for LIFE and has recently settled in Austin, having previously lived in different cities around Texas, Canada, and Mexico. Her experiences have enabled her to master several languages, including French, Spanish, and Arabic. She continues to use her multilingual ability to work successfully with culturally diverse individuals, couples, and families from many backgrounds and walks of life.

Nadia uses a family systems lens in her work with clients, approaching individuals, couples, and families with sincere optimism and a belief in their inherent ability to solve their own problems. Her unconditional acceptance of clients encourages a safe and honest therapeutic environment in which clients can experience a deeper level of personal growth and renewed appreciation for their inherent potential.
She seeks to create a working alliance with each client, couple, or family, in which counseling goals can be mutually set and celebrated once they are achieved.

Nadia has co-authored a textbook on counseling Latino families and intends to collaborate on more literary work in the future. In her personal life she enjoys many activities that bring her laughter, especially those involving her husband, family, and friends.
