Counseling for L.I.F.E.

Sabrina Kindell MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, Cht is a dual LPC and LMFT board approved licensed supervisor in the state of Texas. In Austin there are approximately a dozen dual licensed supervisors, some of whom are not supervising at this time.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

The selection of your supervisor for your 3000 post graduate clinical hours is almost as important as your selection of graduate schools. You will be spending approximately 2 years together and in that time the supervisor will be responsible for helping you to create all aspects of what it takes to be a clinician in private practice. If you happened to be dual licensed Ms. Kindell is able to provide you with both LPC and LMFT supervisions simultaneously.  Thus saving you time, money and providing a consistency in training.

 Individual Supervision (1-2 interns)

Sabrina provides one-on-one supervision with up to two people on a weekly or bi-monthly basis. This supervision focuses on:

~ COUNSELING TRAINING:

1. Ongoing staffing of cases.

2. Extensive skill building; From development of treatment plan, dealing with "resistant clients", to completion of therapy.

3. Recognizing and working with counter transference and personal issues as they show up in session.

4. Offer opportunities to co-lead groups as they occur.

~ PRIVATE PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT:

1. Developing strategies for your niche market and advertising suggestions that work.

2. Supporting and guiding YOUR workshop development for the community in order to provide information affordably and reach out to the community 

 Fee: $100 per hour. If however, there are two students each may pay $100 and the two can jointly share two hours, thus completing two hours of supervision for the cost of one private hour.

A savings of half.

Bringing the hourly fee to $50 per session.

Groups Supervision (up to 8 interns)

 Group supervision is provided on a bi-monthy basis. You will have the opportunity to

1. Staff cases using a variety of therapeutic theories including Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems, Family Constellations, Neuro-linguistic Programing (NLP) to name a few.

2. Be exposed to several useful and powerful counseling skills sets including; Ericksonian and traditional Hypnotherapy, metaphor and narrative therapy,  

2. Learn a wide variety of group exercises that can be easily adapted to individual clients

3. Participate in book studies

4. Develop a large highly useful portfolio of handouts and worksheets to be used with YOUR future clients. 

 Fee: Two hour group is $60 per session

CFL Contract Therapists

I am no longer accepting applicants for this position until after May of 2010. I only work with one clinician at this depth of supervision. They must have the capacity to have the overall potential to be an outstanding future clinician. Over the past year I have received over 65 resumes & queries. If you believe you have what it might take please email me a resume and areas in which you have received specific certification or training beyond your degree and any personal growth and development experienced. I keep my eye out for those novice clinicians that have received what they are preparing to give to others, have the knowledge that graduation only means they are ready to go from knowledge to knowing and have a lot of learning still to do, and have a well rounded sense of what it takes to become a private practitioner in our Austin.  

CAVEAT: I am willing to consider supervising an intern or associate that has a pool of clients already established or existing clients or who has developed a top notch marketing plan that they have begun implementing. If this were to occur we have office space available to see clients Friday through Sunday only at this time.
